
Popular messaging app WhatsApp has restricted video status feature in India. The company reportedly reduces the video status limit from 30seconds to 15 Seconds. This limit is an attempt to reduce the load on server infrastructure in India.
Due to the coronavirus outbreak govt announced a countrywide lockdown to prevent the spread and almost everyone in the country is working from home, which put a massive strain on internet infrastructure.

ANNOUNCEMENT:
You can no longer send videos to WhatsApp Status if they are longer than 16 seconds: only videos having a duration of 15 seconds will be allowed.
This is happening in India and it’s probably an initiative to reduce the traffic on the server infrastructures.— WABetaInfo (@WABetaInfo) March 28, 2020
So if a user in India tries to upload a video that is longer than 15 seconds as status, it won’t be posted. Earlier users could upload a video up to 30 seconds.
WhatsApp has more than 400 million users in India. Due to the lockdown situation, Facebook-owned messaging app reports a 40% increase in uses of its platform.
