Redmi Note 9S Launched with Snapdragon 720G SoC, and Quad Rear Cameras
Redmi Note 9S is the international version of Redmi Note 9 Pro launched in India earlier this month
Redmi Note 9S has finally launched in Malaysia today. Xiaomi unveiled the Note 9S model in a live-streamed event from its Bejing headquarter after the cancellation of its initial launch in Kuala Lumpur over fears of covid 19.
Note 9S is the international version of Redmi Note 9 Pro which was launched in India earlier this month. It has Gorilla Glass 5 on its front and back with a splash-resistant nano-coating. It is powered by the Snapdragon 720G chipset and comes with two 4GB + 64GB and 6GB + 128GB variants. Note 9S price starts at RM 799 (Rs. 13,700) for 4GB + 64GB variant and 6GB + 128GB variant is priced at RM 899 (Rs. 15,000).
Redmi Note 9S Specification:
Note 9S has a dual Nano sim slot and runs on Xiaomi MIUI 11 which is based on Android 10. It has 6.67-inch FHD+ (2400 X 1080) HDR10 display with 91% screen-to-body ratio. Its display offers 450 nit brightness and is TUV Rheinland low blue light certified. It is powered by an 8nm octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G processor with 4GB or 6GB of RAM.
Note 9S has a massive 5020 mAh battery, which can easily last up to 2 days and has support 18-watt fast charging. It has 128GB of onboard storage which can be extended up to 512GB via a microSD card. It also has 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, NavIC, USB Type-C, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Also, there is a side-mounted fingerprint sensor present which acts as a power button.
It comes in three color options such as Aurora Blue, Glacier White, and Interstellar Grey.
Redmi Note 9S Camera:
Moving on to the camera, it has a rear square, quad camera system which is led by a 48-megapixel main sensor with an f/1.79 aperture. It also comes with an 8-megapixel camera with a 119-degree ultra wide-angle field of view, a 5-megapixel macro lens, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. On the front, it has a 16-megapixel selfie camera with panorama selfie and AI scene detection.
During the live event, the Chinese phone-maker claims, it has sold more than 110 million Redmi Note series mobile worldwide.
